PSPC

Public Safety and Protection Committee (PSPC) is a nine member committee and its main duty is to regulate Bristol hackney and private hire trades. Policies regulating the taxi trade in Bristol has to be approved at Public Safety and Protection Committee meetings. The committee also deals with other licensing issues including disciplinary of hackney and private hire drivers. The current chair of PSPC is Councillor Ruth Pickersgill.
